Alesso and Katy Perry gave up their high-profile collaboration just in time to accentuate your New Year's Eve celebrations.
From the moment the track was announced earlier this month, fans were instantly excited to join the superstar dance music producer with one of the world's greatest pop stars.
At the start of the new year, the duo will premiere the music video for "When I'm Gone" at one of the biggest sporting events of the season. Next month, Alesso and Perry will be the first artists to feature a music video during halftime of a television event on ESPN when the video airs during the broadcast of the College Football Playoff National Championship.
In a press release, Perry said the upcoming music video, like many of her other audiovisual releases, will push boundaries.
"When it comes to my music videos, we all know that I like to push myself and the boundaries and give my fans unique opportunities to watch them," said Perry. "ESPN, and College GameDay in particular, holds a special place in my heart. Partnering with Alesso to become the first artist to ever release a global music video in a live event on ESPN was a perfect and natural pairing."
"When I'm gone" is out now. You can download or stream the new collaboration here before next month's music video.
