Sonny Fodera delivered one of his most ambitious albums to date and recruited a number of sensational artists for his highly anticipated album "Wide Awake". The project, published today by Fodera's own Solotoko imprint, lasted two years.
It all started with "One Night" in 2019. Sonny Fodera has teamed up with chart-top dance music producer MK and triple-threat artist Raphaella to produce a standout single. "One Night" has since become a global dance anthem and has achieved silver status in the UK.
In 2020, Fodera signed double-platinum artist Ella Eyre, who demonstrated her impressive vocal range in the uplifting single "Wired." The track has the feel of a timeless dance hit that will keep Fodera fans enthralled for years after its release. Diplo-sponsored Turn Back Time, on the other hand, took a dark, underground approach to a tech house anthem.
In collaboration with KOLIDESCOPES and Sinead Harnett, Fodera returned in 2021 with a fresh house song called "Nah". The progressive beat is paired with strong chords and Harnett's confident lyricism. "Angel", a glittering dance gem with Clementine Douglas, showed Fodera's versatility in the studio and gave fans another glimpse into his Wide Awake project.

Solotoko
"Last Thought" with Vintage Culture and MKLA came out last month, a nod to Fodera's diverse abilities and an example of his signature sound. Wide Awake's opener entitled "You" (starring Sam Tompkins) was released just days before the album. Tompkin's epic vocals serenade the audience and perfectly set the tone for the journey to follow.
The album feels "So High" thanks to one of its standout cuts, with Dan Caplen's soulful vocals flowing over Fodera's signature chords. Up next, Parachute Youth's Yeah Boy and vocalist Camden Cox play on the playful release Something About You. In the title “Wide Awake” Laura Welsh lets her sultry vocals play and shares a transcendent message.
"Silhouettes" picks up on London's emerging talent Poppy Baskcomb and adds a touch of raw soul. "Stuck In My Head" moves into hypnotic club territory, while "Next 2 You" Harnett and famous grime artist Bru-C get back for a garage gun.
