RÜÜFiS DU SOL brought their latest studio album Surrender to great success with a top-class performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The Australian house music outfit performed "On My Knees" from their recently released LP on a somber stage set. The brooding single features punchy horns and ethereal background vocals that linger hauntingly in the distance.
Aesthetically, the sparse lighting on the stage and the atmospheric red color palette accentuate the track's themes of vulnerability and emotional claustrophobia.
The track is indicative of the broader themes of emotional turbulence that RÜFÜS DU SOL wanted to cover with Surrender. "We – we all – are living in this moment of transition and wanted to focus on the hope that the future holds for all of us," said singer Tyrone Lindqvist about the project.
The band's appearance marks their second recent late-night television outing. The band also made contact with James Cordon on the Late Late Show, which aired a piece of their latest Red Rocks Amphitheater performance.
The band's fourth studio album has catapulted them into a slew of festival headlining appearances and stadium shows, including top slots at III Points, Outside Lands, and more.
