RENN has unveiled its latest single, a melodic dubstep tearjerker that the aspiring bass producer called one of the "most emotional and deepest songs" he has ever produced.
"Peace of Mind", which is now being released via the renowned Subsidia imprint of Excision, contains a powerful topline by the Israeli singer-songwriter Liel Kolet. Kolet, who played music on Monstercat and Seven Lions & # 39; Ophelia Records explores the struggles to find light in times of personal struggles. "Lonely thoughts are trying to take over / I won't leave them anymore / I'm ready to leave my own life behind," she smashes with a euphoric blow.
"Peace of Mind" appears on Subsidias Dawn: Vol. 5 Compilation, an album that also includes new music from Crankdat, Killin & # 39; Contains void and many more. With its soaring chords, frenetic leads and punchy snares, the track fits naturally into the Dawn universe, which focuses on hard-hitting melodic music. It's a surefire standout on the compilation and one that positions RENN further than one in the ardent melodic bass genre.

In a press release announcing Peace of Mind, RENN said the recording process was deeply emotional.
“I am very close to my emotions when it comes to music and 'Peace of Mind' is definitely one of the most emotional and profound songs I have ever written. I can't tell you how often I shed tears while writing the song with Liel, "said RENN." She has one of the most beautiful and emotional voices I've ever heard, and I couldn't have asked for a better singer to work with She got the message across exactly how we wanted it, and I couldn't be more proud of how it turned out. I really hope people can relate to this song as much as I do. "
