Produced by Tony Berg, Ethan Gruska and Phoebe, and exclusively accompanied by Ethan on the piano, the beautiful, melancholy rendition of Haggard's 1974 track is a fitting end to a volatile year. Last year, Bridger's vacation single benefited from Planned Parenthood. This year the revenue from sales and streams of "If We Make It Through December" goes straight to it Women's center in the city center, One organization in Los Angeles was solely focused on serving and empowering women living in the homeless and ex-homeless.
Bridgers released an EP Copycat killer – a collaboration with the Grammy Award winner and strings Rob Moose – last week. Punisher, her second solo album, was released to general acclaim in June and has cemented Bridger's reputation as one of the most talented songwriters of her generation.
