Kihyun from MONSTA X made a heartfelt donation!
On January 18, the NGO Good Neighbors announced that Kihyun had donated 10 million won (approximately US $ 9,062). The donation will be used to finance kits with hygiene products for young girls from low-income households.
Previously, in March 2020, MONSTA X donated 100 million won (approximately USD 90,600) to good neighbors to help those who are struggling with COVID-19 in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang regions. Thereafter, MONSTA X and her fan club Monbebe became members of Good Neighbors' The Neighbors Club, a status awarded to those who have contributed at least 10 million won per year to the international humanitarian NGO and participate in significant activities in order to to help promote a culture of helping those in need.
Recently, MONSTA X won the award for best group at the 35th Golden Disc Awards, Stage of the Year at the Asia Artist Awards 2020, Best Performance at the Melon Music Awards 2020, this year's artist at the Fact Music Awards and the best stage at 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards. Kihyun said, "Thanks to the support of the fans, we received major awards late last year, and I decided to make a donation because I wanted to share the good fortune of receiving the awards."
