The Minneapolis edition of the popular Lights All Night electronic music festival was canceled just two days before the event began.

Before it was canceled, the two-day festival planned performances by ZHU, Jauz, ATLiens, Doctor P, FuntCase, Vampa, Feed Me, Wreckno and more. The organizers used social media to post a statement informing fans of the news.

"Out of concern for our fans, artists, staff and local communities, we regret to announce that Lights All Night Minneapolis will not take place this year," the statement said.

Although the pandemic was not openly mentioned in the statement, potential attendees can read between the lines as cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus increase rapidly around the world. However, the Dallas edition of the festival is moving forward as planned.

At the time of writing, the organizers have not released any details on when the event can return. Ticket holders with questions about cancellation have been asked to email the festival for more information.
