Sinead O'Connor has been hospitalized after posting a series of alarming, now-deleted, tweets related to her son's recent suicide.
Taking to Twitter earlier this week, the singer wrote, "I've decided to follow my son. There's no point in living without him. I ruin everything I touch. I stayed only for him. And now he's gone."
"I destroyed my family. My children don't want to know me. I'm a shit person. And you all just think I'm nice because I can sing. I'm not."
In an additional tweet, O'Connor said she doesn't "deserve to live."
"I'm a piece of shit. I don't deserve to live and everyone who knows me will be better off without me. I'm sorry for all the damage I've caused."
Authorities were alerted as soon as the worrying tweets were released. O'Connor was subsequently hospitalized for her own well-being and her own apparent threats of suicide.

The "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer has since apologized for her tweets on Twitter and said she is mourning the death of her son.
"I'm sorry for what I tweeted yesterday. I am very upset. My son was the love of my life. I'm sorry that I upset Tusla and almost every other person on earth as well. I'm ruined without my son. I'm sorry I upset someone. I'm an idiot," she posted.
