Apparently, the art of Zeds Dead doesn't just stop with next-generation electronic music.

Hooks, half of the popular duo and an avid painter, will be showcasing his work in an upcoming art gallery called "Paintdemic". Scheduled for this weekend in the Arts District of Downtown LA, the event will – you guessed it – showcase a range of artwork Hooks created while quarantined during the global curfew.

A quick look at Hooks & # 39; Instagram is enough to see that his talent for painting reflects his skills in the studio. Any fan looking to take home a rare souvenir of Zeds Dead should add "Paintdemic" to their weekend plans.

Presented by Zeds Dead's most popular record label, Deadbeats, the exhibition opens tomorrow, October 2nd at 2:00 p.m. and closes at 7:00 a.m.

Meanwhile, Hooks and his Zeds-Dead-partner-in-Crime, DC, have remained typically productive on the music side of things. They formed a brand new record label, Altered States, and released a stunning 13-track mixtape called Catching Z & # 39; s in March. Then they returned to major tours, embarking on the "Deadbeats: The Revival" tour, and dismounting for a two-day "DeadRocks" run at Colorado's legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater.

You can log into "Paintdemic" here.
