The aspiring hip-hop artist and record producer Master Yeti has presented a club-compatible remix of his latest single "LuLu Lemon".
The track is a sultry house song that also doubles as a formidable crossover thanks to its fuzzy hip-hop verses that provide solid contrast in a dance-forward arrangement. The Chicago Beatsmith would do well to take his original – a foggy emo rap song with lively acoustic guitar riffs – transformed into something completely new while keeping the core elements in the foreground.
If anything, the club remix of "LuLu Lemon" shows the versatility of Yeti, a dual threat producer and singer who is able to glide in both the hip hop and dance music spheres.
Master Yeti, who grew up in southern Chicago, comes from a deeply musical family with roots. His ability to create powerful melodies is testament to his father, a respected pianist and minister of music at Mount Joy Baptist Church in Chicago, and his late uncle, a celebrated left-handed bassist, whom Yeti said both inspired him .
