The fascinating genesis behind one of the world's most popular music festivals, Electric Forest, will soon be revealed.
An upcoming documentary titled A Million Shining Lights – 10 Years Of Electric Forest will summarize some of the myriad fan and artist experiences that made this legendary Rothbury-based electronic music festival the phenomenon it is today.
The trailer for the documentary scratches the surface details of how exactly one of EDM's most prestigious festival experiences found a home at the Double JJ Resort. The property that the organizers set up was spacious, but densely overgrown with trees and foliage, which was initially seen as a disadvantage for the viewing experience. However, the owners of Electric Forest saw the potential in the intimate location and fully integrated the natural landscape into the experience.
A Million Shining Lights – 10 Years Of Electric Forest also includes perspectives from some of the festival's many artists, including Louis The Child and 12th Planet as well as GRiZ, who expressed that they developed a special bond with the experience that they also did after years lets come back year.
"Even if I don't get booked with Electric Forest, I'll end up showing up no matter what," said 12th Planet. "I was kind of reborn there."
The Mini-Doc will debut tomorrow, November 25th at 7:00 p.m. on the festival's official YouTube channel. You can watch the premiere below.
