As music festival organizers continue to grapple with the complexities of COVID-19 restrictions, some believe it's too early to go back.
The popular Envision Festival in Costa Rica has initially postponed its 2021 edition to February 21-28, 2022, informing all ticket holders that the wait is worth it. Unfortunately, envisionaries now have to wait another 370 days. Over the past few months, the organizers of the festival have worked closely with the Costa Rican authorities, monitoring and analyzing the effects of COVID-19.
But they ultimately decided to pull the plug on the upcoming sell-out event. Despite ongoing efforts to make the week-long jungle experience possible, they have officially announced that there will be no meeting in Uvita, Costa Rica this year. In an official statement, the Envision team stated that "hosting an international event of this size in February 2022 will not be without significant risks to the well-being and experience of our attendees, employees, talents and especially the local Uvita community and its healthcare system."

With a heavy heart we inform you that the sold out Envision 2022 Festival will be postponed to February 27th – March 6th, 2023.
In close cooperation with the Costa Rican authorities and after months of monitoring and analyzing the progress of COVID-19 in Costa Rica, it has become clear that hosting an international event of this size in February 2022 is not possible without significant risks to the well-being & experience of our participants , Employees, talent and especially the local community of Uvita and its health care system.
We want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly; There is nothing we want more than to be able to hug you all with open arms in our home this February. While life in many places around the world may return to a semblance of "normal", hosting thousands of international travelers for a 7-day festival in the Costa Rican jungle presents a unique set of challenges and risks in the current global climate. Producing Envision this February, given what we know about these risks, would undermine the core of our values and the compassion our team shares for all of you and for one another. While admittedly a heartbreaking decision, we believe it is the most responsible one.
All 2022 orders will automatically be carried over to the new 2023 event dates; All ticket holders will receive a new booking confirmation email for their 2023 orders (including accommodation, activities and transportation) before the end of October. We know that with all the excitement and demand, it was not easy to get your tickets this year, so we want to assure all ticket holders that you have guaranteed entry to the Festival 2023 without any further action. If any action is required for your unique booking or accommodation, our team will contact you directly.

According to The Tico Times, Costa Rica had administered 5.6 million COVID-19 vaccines as of last week, and approximately 40% of the population is fully vaccinated with two shots. While Costa Rica is still well above the global average, the country is falling behind others in the region and local authorities have reportedly pushed ahead with mass vaccination.
It goes without saying that, given the current global climate, hosting thousands of international travelers for the event presents a unique set of challenges and risks. The Envision Festival has been postponed to February 27th to March 6th, 2023.
It is important to note that all tickets purchased for 2022 will be automatically carried over to the new dates for 2023. At this point, the Envision team has not addressed any options for ticket holders to request refunds.
