In his latest single "Africa Is Not A Country", DJ St3v3 makes a powerful and unmistakable statement about his homeland.

Even though Africa is the second largest continent in the world, you will be surprised how many people sort of think of it as a country. The new single from St3v3 conveys the message with thundering bass and brilliant sound design in an arrangement designed for music festivals.

"Africa Is Not A Country" is a wild trap banger and an ode to the Ethiopian roots of DJ St3v3. Born and raised in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, the DJ and electronic music producer makes extensive use of the washint, a wooden flute originally used by Amharic musicians in Ethiopia. The text also pays homage to a number of African icons: "If you are proud of our ancestors and our brave warriors / Let me see you hands up in the sky / Kunta Kinte, Haile Selassie, Nelson Mandela / And the list goes on and on."

"'Africa Is Not A Country' is a track that motivated me to tell the world more about Africa and to show it, as there is a lot to discover in Africa," said St3v3 in a press release.
