With 6th place in Scotland, 8th in the British charts, 12 in Belgium, 21 in Ireland, 28 in the Netherlands, Top 40 in Australia and Top 50 in Germany, "Sunlight" by DJ Sammy was extremely successful. The title was released on his Heaven album in 2002, which sold millions of copies. Now “Sunlight” is back as a 2020 version and the Balearic star DJ is looking for up-and-coming talents to remix the current track.
DJ Sammy is one of the most famous DJs and producers worldwide. With over 20 million records sold and countless awards, the Mallorcan global player is one of the most successful electronic music artists in the world. DJ Sammy had his worldwide breakthrough in 2001 with “Heaven”. The track broke 2 million sales records in Europe and Australia and landed at # 2 on the US Billboards HOT 100 in the US before shooting at # 1 in the UK in 2002. In addition to chart positions, TV appearances and awards worldwide, DJ Sammy also entered the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 DJ ranking (2005 # 92, 2006 # 61).
Like the original, Sunlight (2020) presents the fantastic vocals of Loona and has already stormed the dance charts in Germany. Now that new remixes are needed, DJ Sammy is looking for aspiring producers and DJs to remix the new track. The winners will receive an official release of the remixes on the MyClubroom label, including a DJ promotion for the mix. And when the DJ Sammy Nights at BCM Planet Dance can take place in Mallorca again next summer, the winners will be invited to sets.
