After succumbing to the wrath of the global pandemic and skipping for two years, the organizers of Desert Hearts have announced the return of the festival to a new location in 2022. The eclectic techno and house festival celebrates a decade of house, techno and love and takes place from April 28th to May 2nd and calls Lake Perris his new home.
Located about two hours outside of Los Angeles and San Diego, Lake Perris State Recreation Area is a serene lake oasis surrounded by the suburban landscape of the Inland Empire. The lake is located in a valley surrounded by mountains and offers amenities such as beaches, swimming, premium camping, bathrooms with showers, and lots of trees and meadows.
This, of course, means that the Desert Hearts collective is saying goodbye to its longstanding home on the Los Coyotes Indian reservation, where amenities were scarce.

To deal with the loss of their flagship festival, Desert Hearts managed to lift the spirits of its followers by broadcasting popular livestreams during the lockdown and eventually hosting events in clubs across the country.
As the organizers celebrate their 10th anniversary, they will continue to advance their "one stage, one vibe" ethos embodied through their focus on self-expression and self-discovery. As a unique and transforming event, the promoters of Desert Hearts call their new location "the next phase of the journey together" and hope for their best edition yet.
