Ever wanted to fly over the sky of Palm Springs in an authentic WWII airplane?
Too exciting for you? How about a relaxed early morning hike along a palm-fringed oasis and into a sacred whirlpool?
Are you not a hiker? Perhaps a healing sound bath and a yoga class on a roof with an unobstructed mountain view is just the thing before a party day.
These amenities are all available for purchase through Desert Air's Daytime Affairs program. The first house and techno festival expands its offer to more than just a two-day music event.
Curated by Goldenvoice, the masterminds behind Splash House and Coachella, Desert Air will occupy the grounds of the Palm Springs Air Museum for a two-day house and techno affair. The festival takes place on December 10th and 11th and is spearheaded by The Martinez Brothers, Peggy Gou, Dixon, Channel Tres and DJ Koze.
The activities are a partnership between Goldenvoice and local companies offering their services at a discounted price to festival goers in order to seduce music lovers looking for a little more adventure on their itinerary. Any leisurely pastime occurring in the morning hours of Saturday, December 11th, is a great way to experience Palm Springs before day two of the festival.
Power Yoga Palm Springs will host a special morning rooftop yoga flow and sound bath session while world-class architecture tour guide Trevor O & # 39; Donnell will take a mid-morning bike ride through the modern mid-century oasis of Palm Springs.
A guided hike of Oswit Canyon conducted by Symara Stone takes you through the deep palm canyons of South Palm Springs. Two tastings, one mezcal and the other with wine, are hosted by The Saguaro and Dead or Alive Bar + Shop, respectively. Finally, for the daredevils, the Palm Springs Air Museum offers a ride above the sky in an authentic warship.
Reservations for these activities have different prices and require a fan account through AXS. More information, including location and arrival times, can be found here.
