Deca has released a new single called "Sleepwalker," which is launching the pre-order campaign for its instrumental album, Source Material, due out November 19th. The track is a solemn, thoughtful piece that evokes a summer mood with its warm textures and smooth textures xylophones and a catchy flute melody from "Lonely Ballad" by Jim Lawless. Deca digs deep into this and brings it out while slowly building the beat in a simple progressive way. The breakdown sections give the track a calming aura and break any form of monotony, while the layered sample chops prove its sound design skills.
"Sleepwalker" is the third focus track of Deca's upcoming LP, which is a collaboration with Londons Def Pressé Editions KPM Crate Diggers series in which producers dig deep into the archives of the legendary KPM sound library. Damu started the series last month with "Conversation Piece", and now it's Deca's turn.
