When artists choose programs for their recitals or concerts and their recordings, they often focus on a type of music. For example, we reviewed Roderick Williams’ Mirages: The Art of French Song and Ice Land: The Eternal Music by the Choir of Clare College this month. And then there are those that focus on one composer, such as the Catalyst Quartet and pianist Michelle Cann doing the chamber music of Florence B. Price. Similarly, there were a few new releases in honor of Philip Glass’s 85th birthday, including the LGT Young Soloists (pictured above) doing his Symphony No. 14. Look for them all in our recent reviews.
