With his critically acclaimed new album "Last of the Better Days Ahead", now available on LP, CD and digital formats, US folk legend Charlie Parr has announced a European tour in 2022, including an extensive series of UK and Irish dates.

Back in July of this year, US folk legend Charlie Parra Approved Last of the better days before us a compelling, compelling album by a relentless innovator that we have reviewed here. As mentioned in the review by David Pratt, the album also marked something emphatically new in addition to a change of label – “an intense focus on the word, with its poetic lyricism, offered the opportunity to shine, as it took a leading position ahead of the thrifty and Spartanen takes "music production, best explains the man himself."

“These songs feel more like poetry than songs to me, and I kind of left them free in that regard. The music serves these texts and not the other way around, as I normally organize songs. "

Over the course of his productive career with 13 full-length albums, the Duluth virtuoso has built a passionate following for his strikingly open songwriting and rough stage presence. It feels like it's been way too long since Charlie last played across the pond. The man has a large, devoted fan base outside of the US and a well-deserved reputation as one of the best roots musicians to see live, so don't miss this opportunity; he will be in the UK and Ireland in May 2022, see dates below.
